Golden and crispy tallow fries made with just two ingredients. This version of fries is better for you and replicates the taste of original McDonald's fries. Easy to make gluten free and dairy free, these fries are ready in just 15 minutes.

1: Slice potatoes into match sticks and place them in an ice bath for at least 10 minutes. 2: Remove potatoes from the water and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel. 3: Add tallow to a Dutch oven or deep skillet and heat to 400°F. 4: Test the oil temperature with a piece of potato; it’s ready if it bubbles rapidly. 5: Fry half of the potatoes in the hot oil for 5 minutes, then remove and set aside on a baking rack. 6: Fry the second batch of potatoes for another 5 minutes, then transfer to the baking rack. 7: Return all fries to the oil and fry for an additional 5 minutes or until golden and crispy. 8: Remove from heat and season with salt immediately.View original recipe
